Baby's Cove

As we wait for Baby to arrive, we've been eagerly preparing for this new family member. The other night, we made a corner of our bedroom into the "baby's cove." Ben put the crib together, put in a ceiling hook for the netting, and hung the baby photo ~ I washed baby clothes, blankets, sheets and the crib bumper - we decided to go white since we do not know what we are having. If you ask Elianna, she will say it is a boy, but then quickly adds, "...but only God knows." Elijah, well, he just points to everyone's belly, man or woman, boy or girl, and says, "baby" while trying to pull up their shirt.

Oh my word. What's a mother to do?

Anyway, my wonderful sister-in-law Angie gave us an extra crib she had (thanks, Ang!), which enables us to keep Elijah in the old crib....which makes me sigh a sigh of relief. I'm not smart enough to know what the mature age is that boys graduate from crib to bed, but I'm guessing that the rowdy age of one and a half is still crib age...in this house anyway!

So the other night, we had an "awakening" for a boy's name and firmed up our favorite girl's name - both complete with middle names too.....so just stay tuned for one of them to be announced! Should be any day now...

"The woman must bear her children in pain, and in providing for his family the man must reap many thorns and thistles, and labor in the sweat of his brow. This burden should cause both man and wife to call on God, and should remind them of their eternal destiny in HIS kingdom. Earthly society is only the beginning of the heavenly society, the earthly home an image of the heavenly home, the earthly family a symbol of the fatherhood of God."

Dear Baby,

Please come and visit us here on this wonderful earth. We can hardly wait to meet you. We all think that today would be a great day to be born! But if you want to wait a few days that is ok, too. We already love you, so don't be afraid to come out!

Love from your cousins@
