Bright Lights - building inner beauty

I love Bright Lights! I eagerly look forward to each meeting I have with the girls! The Lord has brought together an amazing group of young ladies. This week's lesson was on accepting the way God designed us, and Cassandra and Eliza presented the lesson in a powerful way. They brought to our attention the importance of inner beauty - wow! When the Lord looks upon my heart, my inner man, what does He see? Cassandra passed out mirrors and gave each of us a moment as we looked at our reflections in the mirror — do we see ourselves as created in God’s image, fearfully and wonderfully made? Or do we complain about how big our nose is, what color our hair is, etc? How we respond to our outward design says volumes about our inner man.

We also learned from Tori Winters how to embroider! We started with simple fruit patterns which two moms, Jill Winters and Peggy Olson, copied onto dish clothes for each girl. It was a ton of fun, and I learned a lot from Miss Tori - the expert in this department! Here are a few photos of our time together!
